the stretch hummer wedding [Page 1 of 1]

If you've always dreamed of burning a ton of gas and having passersby (including your wedding guests) laugh at you, then by all means, roll to your wedding in a stretch Hummer or other stretch SUV.

Almost any car has been made into a stretched vehicle these days. Some popular options are stretched SUVs, Hummers (as if a Hummer itself wasn't enough!) and Cadillac Escalades. Even Mini-Coopers have been stretched out.

The guys at GroomGroove.com understand the appeal. Stretch vehicles are pretty cool on the outside and inside, and make for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. They're usually brand new, with plush leather interiors. One marvels at how they were engineered so as not to break right down the middle after a few potholes.

However, as cool and as room as stretch Escalades may be, the guys at GroomGroove.com aren't big fans of this option. Grooms who arrive in stretch Hummers must be trying to make up for something. Why have your wedding transportation overshadow you and your bride? You should know that your wedding guests are going to talk about your choice of wedding transportation (and not your glorious bride). Your choice of wedding transportation is is not the only highlight of the day you're   going want your guests to remember.

Furthermore, it's going to cost you a small fortune for the day - figure on spending at least $1,000 for a four-hour minimum rental. Now, the guys at GroomGroove.com are firmly on the side of renting a stretch Hummer for your bachelor party, if you're Hell-bent on doing this "just once". (Or not, at all as stretch SUVs are just plain terrible for the environment).

Wedding Day?

Give it a pass.
